Double Chin Injectable Treatment
What is Kybella?
Kybella is a revolutionary, non-surgical treatment targeting fullness in the submental (under chin) area.
Kybella contains a synthesized form of deoxycholic acid, a naturally occurring substance in our body that helps break down fat in food. When injected, Kybella destroys the targeted fat cells below the chin to create a more contoured neck profile and defined jawline in suitable patients.
What can cause a double chin?
Fullness under the chin is a common concern for many people. In fact a recent study showed that 67% of people report this as their trouble area despite diet and exercise.
Factors such as age and changes in weight can contribute to fullness in this area, however some people are also genetically predisposed.
Who is a suitable candidate?
Suitable candidates are patients that:
- Are concerned with fullness under the chin
- Are looking for a non-surgical option
Who is not a suitable candidate?
Patients not suited to this treatment include those that:
- Have no sub-mental fat
- Have a lot of loose / excess skin under the chin
